My name is Erika Hansen Weich and I am a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist in Boulder, Colorado. I have been practicing on Pearl Street in Boulder since 2003.  I have my masters in Oriental medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College and have studied in Hanoi, Vietnam in the National Institute for Traditional Medicine. I have studied muscular skeletal acupuncture,  Chinese herbal medicine, and nutrition extensively .

Chinese Herb Brew is a service I provide for my clients and other acupuncturists clients to make taking chinese herbal medicine easier.  Taking chinese herbal medicine in the raw form is the strongest, fastest, most effective way to get better, in conjuction with making the necessary lifestyle changes. My goal is to help the client help themselves get better.  When I prescribe herbs I start by writing a formula and seeing how that formula works for the person. What symptoms have improved, how the formula impacts the digestion, etc. Having the client take the formula tells me more about the client’s state of health.  Then I adjust the formula to make it work better. This is an ongoing process depending on how chronic the disease is and how the client adapts to the necessary lifestyle changes.
